Welcome to the central gateway of the WCC Sustainability & Climate Project, with the support of Bernice Langley our CEO & Founder, led by our Pro-bono Sustainability & Climate Ambassador, Dipika Alagamperumal Chandrasekaran (GAUC Youth Leader).
On October 11, 2026, the children of WCC Tombo officially stepped up as active agents of change. Despite facing critical technology barriers, 25 young leaders connected across borders via mobile screens to master "Connected Thinking"—learning how to protect their homes from devastating monsoons, landslides, and flash floods.
Our Three Active Shield Sectors:
1. PLASTIC PATROL: Our youth are launching weekly local drainage patrols to collect loose single-use plastic bottles, keeping our gutters clear and stopping street floods before they start.
2. ROOT PROTECTORS: We are mobilizing our community to plant native saplings on vulnerable slopes, using tree roots as natural anchors to secure our hillsides.
3. COMMUNITY ALERTS: Our students are acting as safety messengers, sharing emergency rules and disaster numbers with families and neighbours.
We look forward to showcasing our Tombo field photos and action data directly at the United Nations COP31 Climate Summit in Antalya, Türkiye!
